Adult Contests Submittable for Members

Online Submission Form for 2022 Contests for NCPS Members

Full submission guidelines can be found at https://www.ncpoetrysociety.org/adultcontests.

If you are not an NCPS member, you must submit your poems, with payment, at https://www.ncpoetrysociety.org/submit-nonmember.

All contests, except the Poet Laureate Award, are free to enter for NCPS members. You must submit separately for each contest.  Click the “Submit” button under each contest description to submit your poem for that contest.

Rules for Submitting

We use Submittable to take online submissions. The first time you click on one of the links below, for the first contest you are entering, you will be taken to a page where you can sign up for a Submittable account; after you fill in that form once, you will not have to fill it in for the other NCPS contests you want to enter. After that process, you will be taken to the “submit” page.

  • On-line submissions will be available beginning November 8, 2021.
  • Submissions must be received by the NCPS by midnight, January 8, 2022.
  • In the Title textbox, enter the title of the poem you are submitting for that contest.
  • In the Cover Letter textbox: enter your name, address, phone number and email address.
  • Upload your file, which should include ONLY the poem and title, without your name on the page; the system will only accept pdf, doc, and docx files.
  • FAILURE TO DO THE ABOVE may result in your entry being disqualified!
