NCPS Workshops

We have two upcoming workshops, sponsored by the NCPS:

  • Barbara Presnell is doing a poetry workshop on April 28, 2012 at Moring Arts Center in downtown Asheboro, NC. This will be an all day workshop, with participants eating lunch at local restaurants before resuming the afternoon session.

    Presnell’s Piecework poetry book was adapted to stage and toured the state in 2009 and 2010. The focus of this workshop will be on creating new work, instead of critiquing previous work. Participants are asked to submit a question about a specific aspect of writing to discuss or practice during the workshop. {Each participant may also send one poem, along with registration fee and Ms. Presnell will critique it.}

    Participants should bring 10 copies of a poem to share in the afternoon portion of the workshop. Checks should be made to NCPS and mailed to Bette Burgess @ 1825 Lantern Drive, Asheboro, NC 27205. $15 for NCPS members; $25 for non-members. For more info, call (336) 879-3070
